Hi there! My name is Sierra Sohn and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in the Public Relations and Advertising program, where I continue to refine my expertise in brand storytelling, brand engagement, and global communication.
One of my proudest professional experiences was working abroad in St. Maarten, where I immersed myself in international public relations and social media analytics for tourism marketing. This experience deepened my appreciation for cross-cultural communication and solidified my passion for global PR strategies.
creative.
I thrive in fast-paced environments that demand creativity, adaptability, and out-of-the-box thinking. I approach every project with an analytical mindset and a global perspective—whether it’s crafting a compelling PR plan, executing a high-impact campaign, or navigating the nuances of audience perception.
spontaneous.
But PR isn’t the only thing that fuels me—I’m all about spontaneity and fun adventures. Whether it’s taking a taxi ride across the middle of Puerto Rico solo to go skydiving alone or driving across the country to get to school rather than catching a flight. I believe that embracing the unexpected leads to the best stories.
driven.
Looking ahead, my goal is to work with international clients, travel overseas, and craft world-class PR strategies and events that bridge media, culture, and innovation.
I am especially passionate about pursuing a career in healthcare PR. I’ve grown up around the healthcare field my entire life and after watching my mom go through breast cancer, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of clear, compassionate communication in moments that matter most. I’m drawn to healthcare PR because it combines purpose and communication. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful accurate, empathetic storytelling can be in shaping public understanding of health. My goal is to help bridge the gap between science and patients: to tell meaningful stories that translate complex information into messages that inform, empower, and inspire.

Foodie at heart.
